Schenkel Shultz, based in downtown Orlando, recently received two architectural design awards.
The Downtown Orlando Partnership awarded the firm the Golden Brick Award for New Office Design for their work on the Orlando Economic Partnership headquarters. The new OEP office space is smaller but provides a strong presence in downtown Orlando. It also supports the OEP’s adoption of hybrid work schedules by focusing on community programming and networking events.
The firm also received recognition from the Orlando Chapter of the American Institute of Architects for designing the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation headquarters. The building design, according to a press release, stands out as an “urban stage” during the day, while its interior at night “appears to extend outward, further linking the Foundation to the community.”
The firm, a part of the Central Florida community for 40 years, aims to inspire the community through impactful design.
