The North Port Police Department (NPPD) headquarters was designed to meet the evolving needs of law enforcement while prioritizing safety in one of the nation’s fastest-growing cities. The state-of-the-art, three-story facility reflects the city’s commitment to modern policing and community protection. Advanced amenities woven throughout the campus enhance operational efficiency, while fostering a deeper, more meaningful engagement with the people it serves.
The new Police Headquarters welcomes residents along the Toledo Blade Boulevard corridor, north of I-75. Approaching from the south, the design seeks to preserve the wetlands at the site's southern edge, opting for an elevated boardwalk to guide future pathways with minimal disruption. The main Headquarters building, strategically positioned along the main thoroughfare, bends to create a visual entry to the campus while maximizing natural daylight in the main atrium areas. Elevated above the roadway, the building enhances the entrance, offering both prominence and security, while also mitigating stormwater flooding.

A double-height ceiling invites police staff into the break area, offering a welcoming space to recharge and connect. The stairwell, clad in blue panels, serves as a bold focal point. Designed to support training, education, and outreach, the space fosters both collaboration and growth.
