At Schenkel Shultz, a Marketing Pursuit Coordinator is a detail-oriented individual who is both creative and technical and enjoys working as part of a larger team. This position requires an understanding of the A/E/C pursuit process to create customized marketing proposals that resonate with the distinct needs of each client and project pursuit. The Marketing Pursuit Coordinator will work to advance our message and brand through the creation of print proposals, interview materials and meeting collateral. You will be an important part of the team that supports the firm’s business development and marketing efforts to bring in new work.  It is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that hinges on quality, customized, creative work products and the ability to communicate with architects, consultants, and studio leaders. 

Responsibilities:

▪ Lead the development of high-quality, customized proposal and presentation content that resonates with clients, which includes:

o Organizing and leading the pursuit from the initial kick-off meeting through the proposal deadline, as well as continuing to engage on the pursuit through the shortlist and interview phases

o Tailoring resumes, project profile sheets and technical write-ups

o Interviewing our internal team of “subject matter experts” to author content that conveys design and technical expertise (including project approach, schedule / cost control, project experience, etc.)

o Selecting images and graphics that reinforce the story

o Assigning responsibilities and following up with team members to ensure all deliverables for the proposal are completed and incorporated into a cohesive document

o Proofreading to ensure accuracy and compliance with all RFQ requirements 

o Attending pre-proposal and evaluation shortlist meetings as needed 

o Coordinating production efforts (printing, packaging and delivery) of electronic or hard copies of the proposals

▪ Support the firm’s business development efforts through researching capital improvement plans and tracking down other information as necessary

▪ Create customized brochures, slide decks, project profiles and other unique marketing materials

▪ Responsible for regular updates to the marketing database with project milestones, proposal opportunities and contact information 

▪ Regular collaboration with Business Development + Architecture / Design + Communications

▪ Other responsibilities include regular updates and maintenance of the image database and tracking / ordering jobsite banners

Qualifications:

▪ 2-3 years of marketing experience in the AEC industry preferred

▪ Experience in the fast-paced world of RFQ / RFPs responses

▪ Outstanding writing, proofreading and editing skills 

▪ Strong sense of urgency with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks at a time

▪ Detail oriented and a creative mindset 

▪ Able to receive constructive feedback

▪ Strong time management and organizational skills

▪ Passion for working as part of a creative team

▪ Interest in learning about design, architecture and applying the knowledge in your work

▪ Excellent written and oral communication skills

▪ Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a must
