Schenkel Shultz Completes Quest Kids Therapy Center and Academy

Orlando, FL – August 28, 2026 – Schenkel Shultz, a Central Florida architectural and interior design studio, recently celebrated the grand opening of the Quest Kids Therapy Center & Academy, a transformative facility that reflects Quest, Inc.’s unwavering commitment to enrich the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.

The project repurposed a former commercial building into a modernized educational facility and therapy center that supports learning, independence and personal growth.  Inspired by Quest, Inc.’s “Reach for the stars” logo, the design infuses “earth” and “sky” motifs throughout classrooms, collaborative hubs, and thoughtfully designed high- and low-stimulus areas, creating an environment that is both inspiring and responsive to the diverse needs of its users.

Expansive windows introduced along what was previously a solid exterior wall bring natural daylight deep into the building while creating a strong visual connection to the outdoors. Along the heavily traveled Colonial Drive corridor large-scale supergraphics transform a vertical retaining wall into a distinctive visual landmark, extending Quest’s identity into the public realm and creating a memorable presence for the more than 40,000 vehicles who pass the campus daily.

“Our design was inspired by Quest’s mission to empower individuals with developmental disabilities to experience full, meaningful lives,” said Ekta Desai, AIA, Design Lead and Partner at Schenkel Shultz. “This cutting-edge facility effectively brings that vision to life, creating an environment that supports learning and cultivates the unique potential of every individual who walks through its doors.”

A previously dark and enclosed structure has been transformed into a bright, welcoming space for students, therapists and teachers.  The new Quest Kids Therapy Center & Academy is a stimulating and enriching environment that will foster life-long learning and expand opportunities for generations to come.
