Schenkel Shultz Reveals Tourism and Hospitality Project

The award-winning team designed Visit Orlando’s new office space

Orlando, FL – June 30, 2026 – Schenkel Shultz, a leading Central Florida architectural and interior design studio expands its tourism and hospitality portfolio with the completion of Visit Orlando’s new office space – an adaptive environment thoughtfully designed to support today’s evolving workforce. Visit Orlando is a not-for-profit trade association dedicated to branding, marketing, and selling the destination globally.

Schenkel Shultz has been engaged with a number of projects within the Orlando community’s business and visitor economy, including the Orlando Economic Partnership (OEP) Headquarters and as the General Consultant to the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority from 2004 – 2020. Schenkel Shultz has been involved in the development of numerous significant projects at the Orlando International Airport, including the South Terminal Complex Master Plan, the Intermodal Terminal Facility and the first phase of Terminal C.

Rooted in functionality, the new office serves as a vibrant hub, enhancing Visit Orlando’s overall efficiency. Open office workspaces accommodate both the organization’s work style and emphasis on collaborative culture. The lounge and adjacent areas are interconnected, allowing them to be easily repurposed as meeting and event spaces. Additional amenities include a boardroom with a hospitality kitchen, an employee breakroom, a cafe and accessible restrooms, making the space cross-functional, inclusive, and welcoming.

The 23,000-square-foot space is located on the third floor of the 6649 Westwood Office complex. Upon arrival, visitors are welcomed with an inviting hosting suite, reflecting Visit Orlando’s mission, core values and expertise in the industry with an awards and honors wall showcase. Design details, including the customized environmental graphics that are woven throughout the facility, communicate Visit Orlando’s strong identity and are a direct reflection of Visit Orlando’s global brand.

“When designing the new office space, our goal was to honor the organization’s mission and global identity while also developing cutting-edge spaces to effectively serve the team for years to come,” said Ekta Desai, Partner and Design Lead at Schenkel Shultz. “Our design reflects a welcoming, innovative workplace environment that is rooted in the distinct values of Visit Orlando.”

“Our people are at the heart of everything we do, so designing a space that fosters collaboration, creativity and connection was a top priority,” said Casandra Matej, President and CEO of Visit Orlando. “It allows us to work seamlessly with partners around the world while creating welcoming spaces for our team and our clients, and we’re grateful to Schenkel Shultz for helping us bring this vision to life.”

With the addition of the Visit Orlando office, Schenkel Shultz advances its goal of generating a lasting impact on the economy of Orlando through tourism and hospitality.
