Osceola Tech Library

Osceola Board of County Commissioners

Strategically located near NeoCity, Central Florida’s first and rapidly growing technology district, the 10,820 square-foot facility will serve as an anchor for a region built around innovation. Its design fosters a dynamic, technology-rich environment that broadens access to digital resources and learning opportunities for the diverse and multi-generational community. By expanding educational pathways and strengthening community connectivity, the project embodies Osceola County’s commitment to advancing education, workforce development, and equitable growth.

At the heart of the facility, the CareerSource Central Florida resource center connects residents with in-demand careers, anchoring the building as a vital community hub. Reflecting its mission, the building’s design draws inspiration from the circuitry patterns of a smart sensor, a recognizable icon of the nearby NeoCity development. The interior ceiling shapes the entry spine and mimics technology and movement pathways, while the exterior skin boasts a bold, iridescent color reflective of the County's brand.

The facility opens a window to the future, offering VR and AI coding labs, laser engravers, and 3D printers alongside Telehealth access points. Multipurpose training rooms and collaborative maker spaces invite exploration, fostering innovation and a continuum of learning across generations.
“This new age library will act as a vital resource and gathering place, equipping residents with the tools and skills needed to thrive in today’s digital landscape. Our goal is to create a catalyst for opportunity—one that inspires creativity, fosters collaboration, and empowers every resident to engage confidently with the future.”
Dan Laggan, AIA, Managing Partner
The new library is positioned along an existing nature trail and bike path along Fortune Road that links into the Osceola Heritage Park. It presents itself at the intersection by way of a public plaza and north-facing, porous glass facade to invite the community and daylight in. The versatility of the plaza allows for public gatherings and events, furnished with tables and solar-powered canopies with integrated charging stations for optimal flexibility and public use.
