Fire Station No. 22 serves as a meaningful connection to the city’s storied past, replacing the original station that was a community cornerstone for over five decades. Nestled along the main thoroughfare, the new station meets modern fire service needs while honoring its legacy as a cherished civic landmark. The design embraces local ecology, preserving historic trees and integrating Florida’s natural water features, reflecting a commitment to environmental stewardship while adapting to the needs of the expanding community it serves.
The station features four double-height apparatus bays, purposefully designed to house up to seven fire trucks and EMS vehicles. This strategic layout maximizes storage within a compact footprint, ensuring swift access to critical equipment when every second counts. Above, a sloped roof overhang adds a modern aesthetic while providing welcome shade for emergency responders, providing relief in moments of urgency.
